Near the Washington Monument, an assassin shoots President Seth Jerrison from behind as he gives a speech on terrorist attacks in Chicago, San Francisco and Philadelphian. Secret Service Agent Susan Dawson takes charge of the chaos sending agents to find the assassin and rushing Prospector (as POTUS is called by his protective detachment) to nearby Luther Terry Memorial Hospital for emergency surgery. Also there is Dr. Ranjip Singh working with PTSD flashback veteran Kadeem Adams.

An explosion rocks the hospital causing a weird electromagnetic change to Dr. Singh’s equipment. Memories swap between a near dead Jerrison, Dawson, Singh, Adams and others. Dawson realizes quickly that at least one of the twenty-one has gained access to Prospector’s memories, which include top secret information. This is dangerous now as an authorized military operation has begun that jeopardizes those involved if the information is given to the enemy.

This is a superb science fiction thriller with a great dystopian spin that will have readers admiring the brilliance of Robert J. Sawyer. Loaded with action, the storyline focuses on twenty-one people who become interrelated with collective wireless memories of someone. Readers will enjoy this tremendous taut twisting thriller.
